There’s something incredibly satisfying about bringing a vessel back to life—especially when it has suffered significant damage.

Following a moderate fire onboard, we recently completed a comprehensive refit of an Elling E4 yacht. The project went far beyond repairing the affected area; the objective was to modernise the vessel throughout while restoring it to an exceptional standard.

A major part of the upgrade involved replacing the original electrical system with a fully integrated digital switching solution, controlled via twin Garmin Axion Pro multifunction displays. This provides a cleaner helm, greater system control, and a far more intuitive user experience.

The dashboard was completely redesigned and manufactured in carbon fibre, giving the helm a modern, high-performance appearance while maintaining the premium feel expected of an Elling.

The project also included:

  • Complete replacement of every visible metallic component throughout the interior.

  • Extensive rewiring and electrical system upgrades.

  • Refurbishment of the electrically operated sliding roof system.

  • Full interior restoration and refit.

  • Countless bespoke engineering solutions to integrate modern technology while preserving the yacht’s quality and character.

Projects like this demonstrate what can be achieved when mechanical engineering, electrical integration, composite manufacturing and craftsmanship come together. Seeing a fire-damaged vessel transformed into a modern, elegant yacht ready for many more years on the water makes every challenge worthwhile.

If you’re considering a complete marine refit, digital helm upgrade or bespoke engineering project, we’d be pleased to discuss how we can help.
