BMS Design Ltd Offers Complete Design, Build and Race Support for Teams Entering the New WRC27 Era

BMS Design Ltd, the Cheshire-based engineering design and manufacturing company, today announced a full-service offering for rally teams and constructors looking to compete under the FIA World Rally Championship's new 2027 technical regulations, covering everything from initial concept and chassis design through to car build and event operation.
The 2027 rules mark a major change for rallying's top class. Rally1 cars will be replaced by spaceframe machinery using Rally2-level engines, transmissions and brakes, with a cost cap of €345,000, and both OEMs and tuners will be able to construct cars under the regulations, which will span a 10-year period. For the first time in decades, the door is open to independent constructors, and the engineering skill that counts most is exactly where BMS Design has its roots: steel spaceframe design.

Proven pedigree
Director Dan Boardman has spent more than two decades in motorsport and performance car engineering. He was Chief Engineer on the TVR Sagaris and the Ginetta G50, holds a Motorsport Engineering degree from the University of Central Lancashire, and built his first rally car while still a student. He is also an accomplished competitor, with numerous rally class wins, national race and rally licences, and experience as a race and rally driving instructor in the UK and Sweden.
