NTRS searches three major STI collections: NACA (1915-1958), NASA (1958-present), and NASA Image eXchange (NIX) (1900-present). NTRS provides access to citations/references, online documents and imagery for conference/meeting papers, images, journal articles, photos, movies, patents, research reports, and technical videos.

Patent information A number of databases provide information about patents – each has its own strengths and its coverage will be widest for the first-named geographical area – also listed are web sites of national and continental patent offices

SubsTech Materials Engineering resource, containing a wide range of illustrated articles on metals, ceramics, polymers, composites and lubricants including their properties, applications and technologies for manufacture. Each article includes its own list of useful related links. Users can create their own Expert page, edit the site content, add new articles and contribute to discussions.
